We have been the boring middle of QLD's container industry for 22 years
ABC Container Hire & Sales was started in 2004 by Ian Donovan out of Toowoomba, with one depot and a few transport options. Today we operate from 11 depots across Queensland and into Northern NSW, and we're one of only a handful of container businesses in QLD with direct shipping line access — meaning the containers you hire or buy from us come straight from the port, not through a chain of middlemen.
We're still headquartered in Toowoomba but now with a primary storage depot in Hemmant, right next to the Port of Brisbane, so you can expect small-town service from us with big-city capability. We own three of those depots outright — Toowoomba, Brisbane (Hemmant), and Hervey Bay — and partner with trusted third-party depots across the rest of the state, with bigger stockholdings at the depots we work with most often.
Need a 10ft container with a roller door, whirly bird and blocks to sit it on? We'll make it happen. Need 10 x 20ft side-opens for a commercial project? We'll take care of it.
